Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of RustMatch (the "Service"), operated from Scotland, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use RustMatch. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You may have only one account, and you must not impersonate anyone else.

Acceptable use

RustMatch is for finding teammates for the game Rust. You agree not to:

harass, threaten, bully, or abuse other users;
post or send content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or harmful;
share other people's private information, or your own contact or payment details with strangers;
spam, scam, advertise, or solicit money or goods;
use the Service to groom, exploit, or endanger anyone, particularly minors;
attempt to disrupt, hack, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you post (your bio, photos, and messages). You grant us a licence to host and display that content as needed to run the Service. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it.

Matching and safety

RustMatch helps you find other players, but we do not verify users' identities and we do not guarantee any match, conversation, or outcome. You interact with other users at your own risk. Never share personal, financial, or contact information with people you do not trust, and report anyone who breaks these terms.

Subscriptions and payments

RustMatch offers a free tier and paid plans (Basic, Pro, and a one-time Lifetime option). Current prices are shown in the app.
Paid plans are billed in advance and, unless stated otherwise, renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe.
You can cancel at any time from the subscription management portal in your account. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current paid period.
As a UK consumer, you may have a 14-day right to cancel a new purchase for a refund. If you ask us to start your subscription immediately, you acknowledge that this right may be lost once the service has been fully provided, and any refund may be reduced to reflect use already made.
We may change prices or plans; we will give reasonable notice of changes that affect an active subscription.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms or if we need to for legal or safety reasons. You may close your account at any time from your settings.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or that arise from your misuse of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, and disputes are subject to the courts of Scotland.
